Steve Appel and Lee Whitehead grew up in the Baltimore area and have been pals since grade school. Like most best friends, they talked about starting their own business together and in 1985 took the plunge with the opening of the eclectic Nouveau Contemporary Goods in Savage Mill. Today, Nouveau has a thriving location in the newly revitalized Belvedere Square.
After 20 years of running one of the hottest home furnishings and accessories shops in town, the move to interior décor was a natural evolution for Steve and Lee. With the launch of Whitehead & Appel, they are looking forward to making homes and offices around the country even hipper.
Susan
Susan Sturtevant brings her 12+ years of experience in retail and commercial interior design and a Associates Degree in Interior Design from Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts in York PA. For 7 years she worked at York Wallcoverings specializing in designing rooms around beautiful wallpapers and treatments. She will transform your space into a functional, enjoyable one that you won't want to leave.
Her goal as your designer is to do everything she can to make your design experience easy, simple, enjoyable and most of all fun!!
Bill
Bill Goudelock has been designing for over 25 years. After earning his Bachelors Degree in Design from Clemson University, he served as an intern architect for Fulmer Associates Architects in Columbia, SC. He practiced for years as a freelance architectural designer before becoming an interior design consultant wtih Ethan Allen.
Bill's desire is to guide you toward realizing your vision for your space. With his assistance, you can achieve much more than you ever dreamed possible. Working with Bill is like having a good friend with really great taste. There is absolutely no reason why you should not thoroughly enjoy your design experience.
